A sugar cane mill can refer to a factory that processes sugar cane to produce raw or white sugar. Sugar industry plays an important role in economic development of country. Cogeneration is an important source of income for sugar industries. Boiler is one of the essential components used in cogeneration process.
In addition to raw sugar, our mills generate renewable energy from the biomass they produce while crushing cane. This biomass, called bagasse, is the cane fibre that’s left over after crushing has stripped the sugar cane of its juice, are burned for fuel in the mill's steam boilers. These boilers produce high-pressure steam, which is passed through a turbine to generate electrical energy (cogeneration). The exhaust steam from the turbine is passed through the multiple effect evaporator station and used to heat vacuum pans in the crystallization stage as well as for other heating purposes in the sugar mill. Bagasse makes a sugar mill more than energy self-sufficient; surplus bagasse goes in animal feed, in paper manufacture, or to generate electricity for sale.
The bagasse is recycled and used as boiler fuel in sugar factory. It’s burned at temperatures of up to 800˚C to produce steam, which is either used as heat for the milling process or converted into electricity. Biomass steam boiler is the best choice for sugar mill. The traveling grate type steam boiler that can burn both coal and biomass fuel. The large quantity of biomass fuel in sugar industry could be reused and save much cost for industry. ZBG biomass fired boilers for sugar factory contain DZL series boiler, SZL series boiler, DHL corner tube boiler, biomass fired CFB boiler and so on.
