Generally the air pre-heater is the last part in the flue gas side process of waste heat recovery steam boiler, which is set at the bottom of flue gas as the tail heating surface. To solve the waste heat boiler tail heating surface--air pre-heater's low temperature corrosion and fouling problems, we use the steam air pre-heater to replace normal flue gas air pre-heater.
What is air-preheater?
An air pre-heater (APH) is a general term to describe any device designed to heat air before another process (for example, combustion in a waste heat boiler) with the primary objective of increasing the thermal efficiency of the process. There are two types of air pre-heaters for use in steam boilers in thermal power stations: One is a tubular type built into the boiler flue gas ducting, and the other is a regenerative air pre-heater. Ambient air is forced by a fan through ducting at one end of the pre-heater tubes and at other end the heated air from inside of the tubes emerges into another set of ducting, which carries it to the boiler furnace for combustion
Steam air pre-heater function in boiler The air preheater is an important part of waste heat recovery boiler. It can not only improve the boiler thermal efficiency, but also reduce the environment pollution. The waste heat recovery boiler manufactured by our company is equipped with the steam air pre-heater, to heat the cold air, and no air preheater is set in the tail flue gas duct, avoiding low temperature corrosion in tail heating surface; meanwhile, the steam air preheater is outside the flue gas duct, without connecting flue gas, avoiding fouling problem caused by flue gas flowing.
