Steam Boiler Capacity Calculation
Many customers contact us online with the question of calculation of boiler capacity. they don't know how to calculate the boiler capacity they need.
For example:
It is common to express the output of fire tube and water tube steam boilers in Boiler Horsepower, MBTU or in Pounds of Steam delivered per hour.
W = (hg - hf) m
where
W = boiler capacity (Btu/h)
hg = enthalpy steam (Btu/lb)
hf = enthalpy condensate (Btu/lb)
m = steam evaporated (lb/h)
Calculate the boiler capacity for example:
Boiler capacity = Burner capacity * efficiency
Example: efficiency = 95% & Burner capacity =11,110 kW.
boiler capacity =11,110 kW * 0.95
~=10,500 kW
Industrial boilers can be used in steam or hot water applications, such as food & beverage, paper & cardboard, laundry, tanneries, textile, packaging, wood, machinery factory, metallurgical plants, infrastructure & bitumen, plastic & rubber, chemical, pharmaceutical, power plant, district heating and large buildings heating. Whether you need a boiler for school, brewery, hotel, textile industry, paper plant or whatever, please tell us your specific information first, and we will calculate the boiler capacity for you.
